Was raised by a nurse in CO after his mother died of a brain tumor.
Owned a gas station on San Fernando Rd., San Fernando, CA before the war. This was during the time Calvin was attending San Fernando High School. during the war, Iiron and his wife worked for Bermite Powder in Saugus, CA making 20 mm shells or something for the war. He later moved back to Pawnee City and drove a truck to keep busy until his death around the age of 70. He became owner of Lewis` farm out of Pawnee City after John & Willie moved to CA. Committed suicide.
Iiron and Laura grew up across the street from each other, about 4 miles south of Pawnee City, NE.
