Lived for a time in Cedar Grove, Union Co, TN. They became anxious to see kin folk in Grainger Co. They walked back to Grainger Co. They stopped for a few minutes rest at Uncle Beeler`s home which was about one and a half miles east of Powder Springs. Uncle Jacob`s wife, Aunt Nancy was very hospitable as she brought out a piece of pie for Jessee, the little boy. He thanked her for the pie and ate all of it except the trim of crust around the edge.
