"It was first published in 1895. For many years the monthly was the only student publication and was therefore left with the responsibility of publishing the news of the institution and student body and also the story of the classes."
Ruth was known as "Pinkie" in college. She was a member of the Hamiltonia Literary Society and the musical club. In her senior year she was president of the Home Economics Club and Hamiltonia Literacy Society. Her thesis was "A Course of Study in Domestic Science for the Elementary and Secondary Schools".
The Hamiltonia Literary Society was exclusively a women`s society.
