David - Nov. 3, 1937
David Rogers, age 78, passed away at the LaFollette Hospital, Wednesday morning. Mr. Rogers was considered one of the best civil engineers in this section, having surveyed many roads including the Jellico highway and was well known over the whole section. He was a brother of Stephen H. and W. H. Rogers of Speedwell.
Funeral services were held Friday at 10:30 at the Southern Methodist Church. Rev. Carl Loony and Enos Wagner officiating and burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mr. Rogers was a Mason and the Valley Star Lodge of Well Spring buried him. Mars funeral home was in charge of the burial.
